I was very impressed when I first met with the staff of Graham several years ago. It seemed to me that they are striving to help not just one child or one parent, but a whole family and even whole communities. They assume nothing, but are always asking the questions ‘What do you need?’ ‘How can we help?’ Graham is a family in the truest sense of the word and it is an honor for us to be a small part of their family.”

The most rewarding aspect of volunteering is hearing participants say that they feel better after a [trauma-informed yoga] class. I connected with Graham because I resonate with their focus on healing and thriving in the face of systemic oppression.”

Volunteer Yoga Instructor

Interacting with children, parents, and caregivers at the Saturday Play and Engage program has been incredibly rewarding. Seeing the spirit and energy everyone brings to my artmaking lessons has been a real pleasure – I’m continually amazed by the new ideas and creations I see!

Joey

Volunteer

After better understanding Graham’s mission to help children here in New York City, we knew this was a place to invest our time and energy. If our help can inspire even one young person who doesn’t have the foundational support we were lucky enough to have, we will know we have made a difference.
