Sharing Togetherness and Gratitude

Traditionally, the Thanksgiving holiday signifies sharing, togetherness, and gratitude—and for the Graham family that holds true. We are immensely grateful for the thousands of caring people who generously commit their time, energy, and support to ensure that Graham’s mission continues to flourish.

As this year marks Graham’s 215th anniversary, we remain true to Eliza Hamilton’s founding mission and values, while continuing to evolve. Moving toward greater progress, Graham continues to innovate and share breakthrough solutions with colleague organizations and strategic partners. Today, we provide what we call “helpful help” to 4,500+ children, youth, and families so that they can thrive in school, work, and life beyond. Our families who have long histories here in the United States, as well as those who have just arrived, find hope, opportunities, and new life skills at a dozen Graham sites in Harlem, Brooklyn, and the Bronx communities.

We are grateful for all that has been made possible by The Eliza Hamilton Legacy Campaign, including renovations to our sites to ensure that Graham children and families have access to safe, healing spaces within their communities. In the new year, funds from the Campaign will also empower us to reach more youth through our signature Graham SLAM education and career program, as well as hire more coaches for parents to ensure that their families succeed. To all those who gave to this anniversary campaign, we thank you once again during this season of gratefulness.

Through our annual fund appeal, we invite additional public support to make sure that children and families are prepared for the cold winter ahead. We will celebrate the holidays with gift cards, coats, hats, mittens, scarves, and other seasonal needs for children and their families.

On a personal note, I am thankful for this extraordinary opportunity to lead Graham and to work alongside an amazing, spirited “One Graham” team who—whether Board, staff, donor, or volunteer—improve the very fabric of our city with their collective efforts and their faith in a brighter future for our children.
