(Offered to families in Brooklyn, Harlem, and the Bronx)

The aim of our Preventive Services is to help families to develop the capacity to care safely for their children and place them on the path towards sustainable success.  Your family will have the skills and networks of support to not only manage crises but to thrive so that you can contribute to your community.  We work with families on such issues as getting your children to school consistently and on time, managing your out-of-control child’s behavior, and managing your own stress so that you can respond to your children in a safe way.

Each family’s services are different but we come to your home to meet with you and your children at least once or twice a month.  Together we will figure out where your biggest challenges are and how to better manage them.

We offer:

  • Comprehensive Child and Family Assessments
  • Casework Counseling
  • Advocacy Services
  • Educational Service Planning for Children and Youth
  • Effective Goal Setting with Families, Focused on Positive Behavior Change
  • Family Team Conferences (FTCs)
